Description
Position Summary
The Per Diem Staffing Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and scheduling caregivers to ensure adequate coverage across departments. This role supports daily staffing operations by filling open shifts, communicating with caregivers, and maintaining staffing records to ensure safe and efficient staffing levels.
Key Responsibilities

Coordinate and schedule employees to fill open shifts and maintain adequate staffing levels.

Respond to call-outs, schedule changes, and last-minute staffing needs.

Contact available per diem, part-time, or full-time caregivers to fill vacancies.

Maintain accurate staffing schedules in scheduling systems or spreadsheets.

Communicate staffing updates with supervisors, managers, and staff.

Monitor staffing levels to ensure compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.

Assist with tracking overtime, shift coverage, and attendance.

Maintain updated contact lists for employees and per diem staff.

Document schedule adjustments and staffing activities.

Provide administrative support related to staffing and scheduling.
Qualifications
-
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree preferred.

Previous experience in staffing coordination, scheduling, healthcare administration, or HR preferred.

Strong organizational and multitasking skills.

Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.

Ability to work independently and respond quickly to staffing needs.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and scheduling software.
