SUPV ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN

Summary

You will serve as a SUPERVISORY ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN in the Engineering Department Steam Generating and Propulsion Plant Equipment Branch Supervisor, Code 266 of SOUTHWEST REGIONAL MAINTENANCE CENTER.

Duties

• You will exchange technical information and assist in resolving complex technical matters.
• You will be responsible for technical, repair support and oversight of shipboard techniques and processes relating to Steam Generating and Propulsion Plant Equipment Branch systems.
• You will plan work and assign tasks to subordinates.
• You will provide assistance to NAVSEA, CNRMC and NSWC when requested to include design, material support, installation, operational procedures, training, manning and tools.
• You will develop negotiate acceptance and funding, manage special programs to overcome system/equipment problems.
• You will provide full supervisory functions to include, writing position descriptions, set priorities, approve work schedules and leave requests.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Providing technical oversight, administrative, and repair support to diversified shipboard systems relating to engineering to ensure compliance with regulation design, maintenance, safety and operations on U.S. Navy vessel equipment/systems.
