Full job description

Location: District Wide

Position Title: Network Technician

Salary/Pay Scale: Competitive

Requirements:

Associate degree in Electronic Technology, Microcomputer repair, or related field; or two (2) years of paid full-time experience in maintenance and repair of microcomputers; or successful completion of a recognized course in microcomputer repair such as training courses offered by the military, microcomputer hardware vendors or consultants (A+ certification), plus one year of experience.

Description:

  • Install and maintain workstation hardware, software and peripheral equipment as assigned

  • Maintain desktop OS configurations as assigned

  • Maintain user accounts, print queues and group policies as assigned

  • Assist with AV systems as needed

  • Work with outsource vendors in support of desktop and peripheral systems

  • General troubleshooting and assistance

  • Provide end-user staff development as needed

  • Maintain IT service and inventory databases

  • Assist with yearly and ongoing district technology projects as assigned

  • Insure compliance with all laws and regulations (e.g. copyright, site licenses, and acceptable use regulations)

  • Excellent User support skills a must

  • Must Meet Civil Service requirements
