Position Description: Provides operational support to ARCENT current operations (CUOPS) activities, maintaining situational awareness of ongoing theater operations throughout the CENTCOM AOR. Monitors operational events, tracks significant activities, updates the Common Operational Picture (COP), and supports battle rhythm events, command and control functions, and operational reporting requirements. Coordinates with staff sections, subordinate commands, coalition partners, and Joint organizations to ensure timely dissemination of operational information. Develops executive summaries, operational status reports, decision-support products, and daily operational briefings for senior leaders. Supports crisis action planning, contingency response operations, exercises, and theater security cooperation activities.
Key Duties and Responsibilities

Provide continuous 24/7 current operations support to maintain operational awareness, mission execution, and command continuity.

Monitor ongoing operations, significant activities, emerging incidents, and operational developments across the U.S. Army Central (ARCENT) Area of Responsibility (AOR).

Maintain and update the Common Operating Picture (COP) by collecting, validating, analyzing, and integrating information from multiple operational sources.

Synchronize operational activities, command priorities, missions, taskings, and suspense requirements across staff sections and subordinate commands.

Support ARCENT's battle rhythm through operational assessments, synchronization meetings, command briefs, working groups, and Battle Update Briefs (BUBs).

Develop and disseminate Situation Reports (SITREPs), running estimates, operational summaries, decision-support products, briefings, trackers, and other Current Operations (CUOPS) products.

Monitor emerging events and assess operational impacts, providing timely notification and recommendations to leadership.

Coordinate staff actions and facilitate information sharing among CUOPS, higher headquarters, subordinate units, and supporting organizations.

Assist in the development, staffing, coordination, and execution of operational directives, including OPORDs, FRAGORDs, WARNORDs, execution orders, and command taskings.

Track command-directed actions and operational requirements from initiation through completion, ensuring accountability and timely resolution.

Identify operational risks, capability gaps, resource constraints, and mission impacts; elevate issues and recommend courses of action to leadership.

Maintain operational logs, incident reports, significant activity records, and historical documentation to support continuity and decision-making.

Support crisis response operations, contingency missions, exercises, command post activities, and other high-tempo operational requirements.

Provide rapid-response support during emerging situations and ensure leaders receive accurate, timely, and actionable information.

Ensure operational reporting is complete, accurate, timely, and formatted appropriately for senior-leader decision-making.

Support planning efforts and transition activities when current operations evolve into future operations requirements.

Maintain current operating procedures, battle rhythm products, reference materials, and operational processes to ensure continuity of operations.

Handle all classified and controlled information in accordance with Department of Defense (DoD), Army, ARCENT, and security policies.

Maintain an active Secret security clearance and comply with all position-related security requirements.

Perform additional duties as directed by ARCENT leadership in support of mission accomplishment and operational effectiveness.
Qualifications
Minimum Experience: 8-10 Years
Education: Bachelor's Degree
Clearance: Secret
