Golang Application Architect

About the role

As a Golang Application Architect , you will make an impact by designing secure, scalable, and resilient healthcare provider applications that support critical business operations and deliver exceptional user experiences. You will be a valued member of the architecture and engineering team, collaborating with product owners, business analysts, developers, security teams, and operations stakeholders to deliver high-quality technology solutions.

In this role, you will:

• Architect and design end-to-end solutions using Golang, React, and PostgreSQL to support healthcare provider platforms and business objectives.

• Define application architecture, service boundaries, integration patterns, and technical standards that promote scalability, maintainability, and reusability.

• Establish and enforce secure coding practices, ensuring compliance with security, privacy, and data protection requirements.

• Partner with business and technology stakeholders to translate provider domain requirements into practical, high-performing technical solutions.

• Mentor development teams and provide architectural guidance on best practices, performance optimization, observability, reliability, and modern software design.

What you need to have to be considered

• Strong experience designing and architecting enterprise applications using Golang .

• Hands-on expertise with PostgreSQL , including schema design, performance tuning, indexing, and data modeling.

• Experience building modern web applications with React .

• Deep understanding of application security, secure coding practices, integration patterns, and cloud-native architectures.

• Experience working within the Healthcare Provider domain and translating business requirements into scalable technical solutions.

This will help you stand out

• Experience architecting highly available and large-scale distributed systems.

• Knowledge of healthcare data management, regulatory requirements, and provider workflows.

• Experience establishing architecture standards, governance, and technical roadmaps.

• Strong mentoring and leadership skills with experience guiding development teams.

• Experience with observability, performance monitoring, and enterprise integration frameworks.

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $81,337 to $141,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
