Full job description
Role summary The Director, Content & Communications owns Adverity's content strategy, editorial direction, executive thought leadership, and PR/communications strategy end-to-end. The role leads a focused content team and is a working leader, hands-on with editorial direction, thought leadership programmes, and PR strategy, not just a strategic overseer. Primary accountability is category creation and market education, shaping how the market defines and talks about the space Adverity competes in, and building the market's understanding of the problem it solves. This is an agentic-first content leadership role: the Director is responsible for building and shaping the agentic systems and processes that support content, AEO optimisation, scheduling, and distribution.
Key responsibilities
- Lead category creation — defining and driving the market narrative for the space Adverity competes in, and arming executive spokespeople to deliver it publicly
- Lead market education — building the market's understanding of the problem Adverity solves, through explainer content, practitioner-level education, and analyst engagement
- Own content strategy and editorial direction — the framework and standards flowing into campaigns, ABM, PMM, and thought leadership
- Own PR and communications strategy — managing the external PR agency and earned media presence
- Lead executive thought leadership programmes for senior spokespeople
- Lead AEO strategy and share-of-voice growth through content, PR, and editorial output
- Set editorial standards and quality bar for all written marketing output
- Shape and evolve the agentic systems and processes supporting content, AEO optimisation, scheduling, and distribution
What you bring
- Extensive experience in brand, content, or communications leadership in B2B SaaS
- Demonstrable track record growing share of voice in a competitive category
- Experience leading AEO, SEO, or AI-search visibility programmes at scale
- Hands-on editorial chops — capable of setting voice and directing senior content and design talent at the working level
- Experience managing PR agencies and securing tier-one earned media
- Experience owning organic social and executive thought leadership programmes
- Experience deploying AI and agentic tooling in a content production context
