Full job description
Our client, a leading global investment operations organization, is seeking a Middle Office Trade Operations Analyst to join their team. As a Middle Office Trade Operations Analyst, you will be part of Global Investment Operations (GIO), supporting the Middle Office Trade Management (MOTM) department who supports all trade related functions across all asset classes, ensuring trades move smoothly from post-execution through settlement. This position offers the opportunity to work across the full trade lifecycle, partner closely with front office teams and external partners, and contribute to daily risk management, operational oversight, new complex products, and efficiency initiatives.
The ideal candidate will bring strong attention to detail, a control-oriented mindset, and the drive to continuously improve processes—so you can help strengthen operational oversight, reduce risk, and support new products and account growth.
Job Title: Middle Office Trade Operations Analyst
Location: Baltimore, MD (Hybrid: 4 Days Onsite | 1 Day Remote)
Pay Range: $40/hr - $45/hr
What's the Job?

Coordinate the processing of portfolio transactions, ensuring activities are accurate, timely, and compliant with established policies, procedures, and controls.

Support derivative trades, private placements, discretionary trading, new complex products and alternatives, and corporate action oversight in conjunction with outsourced providers.

Identify quality, accuracy, or compliance deficiencies and take appropriate corrective action to resolve issues and mitigate risk.

Respond to operational queries related to cash breaks, trade breaks, and standard questions from internal and external stakeholders, escalating more complex issues as appropriate.

Drive process improvement initiatives focused on automating manual tasks, enhancing efficiency, strengthening controls, and minimizing operational risk.

Prepare standard and some nonstandard instructions for settlements, reconciliations, transfers, and related activities.

Generate periodic reports and dashboards outlining operational metrics such as error rates, recalculation rates, client satisfaction, responsiveness, and time to resolution.
What's Needed?

Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience AND 2+ years of financial services. experience in derivatives and trade management operations.

Experience supporting middle office, trade management, or securities operations processes across the trade lifecycle with knowledge in private placements.

Demonstrated ability to identify process gaps and drive process improvements that increase efficiency and reduce operational risk.

Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work across internal teams and external service providers.

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, including the ability to investigate breaks, exceptions, and reconciliation issues.

Ability to prioritize competing deadlines, work independently under general supervision, and exercise sound judgment in escalating issues.
