Join Our Team as an ABA Onboarding Specialist at Behavioral Health Works!

About Us Behavioral Health Works is an expanding company dedicated to responsible and sustainable growth. We are committed to delivering personalized ABA therapy for children and adolescents diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). ABA therapy helps individuals with Autism improve socially significant behavior, following the principles of Behavior Analysis. Our extensively trained BCBAs, Case Supervisors, and Technicians collaborate closely with parents to create tailored treatment plans that address the distinct requirements of each child.

Job Description We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Onboarding Specialist to join our Brooklyn, NY team. This position is responsible for managing the onboarding process from offer acceptance through an employee’s start date and ensuring all required steps and documentation are completed accurately and on time. You’ll work closely with Recruiting, HR, Operations, and new hires while serving as a key point of contact throughout the onboarding process.

What You'll Do

  • Manage the onboarding process for new hires from offer acceptance through their start date
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for new hires throughout onboarding
  • Collect, review, and track required employment and onboarding documentation
  • Coordinate background checks, I-9 documentation, employment verification, and other pre-employment requirements
  • Follow up with candidates regarding outstanding documentation and onboarding requirements
  • Maintain accurate employee records, onboarding trackers, and systems
  • Coordinate start dates and onboarding timelines with Recruiting and Operations
  • Identify and communicate potential delays or issues proactively
  • Ensure onboarding requirements are completed accurately and on schedule
  • Provide a welcoming, professional, and organized experience for new employees
  • Assist with HR and administrative projects as needed

What We're Looking For

  • 1+ year of experience in onboarding, recruiting, HR, staffing, or a related administrative role
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong follow-up and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace
  • Ability to handle confidential employee information professionally
  • Healthcare, behavioral health, ABA, or staffing experience is a plus
