Full job description

Job Title: Fabricator Job Description

This is a 1st shift Fabrication position with working hours from 6:00 AM to 3:30 PM, including a half-hour lunch break at noon. After six months of direct hire, the individual may be expected to work from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with occasional Saturdays. The role involves 80% MIG welding and 20% TIG welding, working with materials such as Sheet Metal, Mild Steel, Stainless Steel, and Aluminum, with thicknesses ranging from 20 gauge to half-inch plates. The position requires the use of a Brake Press, Sheers, and Plasma cutters to prepare materials for fabrication.

Responsibilities

  • Perform MIG and TIG welding tasks on various materials.

  • Prepare materials using Brake Press, Sheers, and Plasma cutters.

  • Read and interpret blueprints to fabricate products.

  • Assist in machine build capacity, including mechanical, electrical, or PLC areas, depending on aptitude.

  • Contribute to the production of industrial washers, finishing systems, and industrial ovens.

Essential Skills

  • 5 years of experience in fabrication.

  • 5 years of experience reading blueprints.

  • 2 years of experience in TIG welding.

  • Experience in working with Sheet Metal, Stainless Steel, or Aluminum.

  • Own welding gear.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Background in machine building.

  • Ability to read schematics.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
