Job Summary

The intern will assist in monitoring and evaluating radiation levels in work environments, support the implementation of radiation safety protocols and procedures, and conduct radiation surveys while preparing detailed reports on findings. They will help in maintaining and calibrating radiation detection instruments and participate in regular safety audits and inspections. The intern will gain practical experience in radiation protection and safety, receive mentorship and guidance from experienced professionals, contribute to meaningful projects and initiatives, and network within the industry

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

The candidate should have a basic understanding of radiation physics and safety principles, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and excellent written and verbal communication skills. The ability to work both independently and as part of a team, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills are essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and the ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism are also required.

Education Requirements

  • Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in Health Physics, Radiological Science, Environmental Science, Biology, or a related field

  • Must have a GPA of 3.0 or above

  • Must have a graduation date of 2028 or later

Hourly Rate:

$22.00 - $28.00

The hourly rate listed is the rate we anticipate paying for this position. If a range is listed, the actual hourly rate offered may vary based on factors such as the selected candidate's academic major and/or school classification (e.g., sophomore, junior, senior).
