Summary
THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 5 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a SUPPLY SYSTEMS ANALYST-TITLE 5, Position Description Number PDT5294P01 and is part of the KY USPFO, National Guard.
Duties
As a SUPPLY SYSTEMS ANALYST-TITLE 5, GS-2003-9, you will manage the Retail Supply Standard Army Management Information System (STAMIS) in the Material Management Branch. Review, analyze, and interpret supply directives and guidelines to formulate and implement effective operating procedures to achieve optimum logistical support. Develop criteria and administer procedures to affect and ensure the validity of the quality assurance programs within the branch. Perform analysis and assessment of logistical program requirements to eliminate problems and deficiencies. Develop and establish controls to ensure that results of workload requirements identify systemic problems and enhance mission accomplishment. Perform surveys and studies of branch supply operations to determine proper application of improved supply methods. Analyze data input and statistics extracted from data processing systems to assure adequacy and accuracy of products and functions. Determine and analyze trends in effectiveness and efficiency to be used for improving undesirable conditions, accountability of items, expenditure of funds, and management of resources within the branch. Oversee the preparation of budget estimates and maintenance of funds accounts for the branch. Perform other duties as assigned. CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT: May be required to successfully complete a probationary period. Participation in direct deposit is mandatory. May be subject to furlough actions. Acceptance of a Federal position will terminate Tricare Reserve Select (TRS) eligibility. This position is located on a tobacco free facility. Must obtain and maintain a favorable adjudication of a T3 or equivalent investigation. This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968. An individual convicted of a qualifying crime of domestic violence may not perform the duties of this position. Qualifications
Applicants who meet the DoD Priority Placement Program Retained Grade category are eligible to apply with this preference. (See Required Documents Section) SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have at least one (1) year experience at the next lower level in the normal line of progression through federal service (GS-07) or equivalent experience in the private or public sector that demonstrates the experience and knowledge of applying supply principles, concepts, and methodologies of inventory management or of supply program management to perform recurring assignments, operations, and/or procedures dealing with supply issues and problems. Experience with methods, techniques, and standardized automated databases to search for and analyze information, resolve questions, prepare entries for supply record systems, and provide supply information, reports, and services. Experience analyzing problems to identify significant factors, gathering pertinent data, and recognizing solutions. Experience planning and organizing work. Experience may have been gained in administrative, professional, technical, investigative, or other responsible work. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Resume must have complete dates, work schedule, and/or hours worked per week for both civilian and military employment.
