By bringing together content marketing, digital PR, and external content partnerships you'll help expand Liberty Mutual's reach, reputation, citations, and discoverability across the broader digital ecosystem, supporting visibility in both traditional search and AI-powered experiences.

This is an exciting opportunity to define and grow a newly created role in an area that's rapidly evolving. You'll increase Liberty Mutual's external digital footprint through organic social, video, editorial partnerships, third-party publications, and other channels that strengthen brand authority and support our broader organic growth strategy.

The ideal candidate has a proven track record of building relationships, identifying growth opportunities, and executing content amplification strategies that deliver measurable results. They are strategic, self-directed, and comfortable collaborating with executives, subject matter experts, external partners, and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

Develop content amplification strategies

  • Develop amplification plans for relevant content initiatives, including original research, educational resources, thought leadership, and trending consumer topics.

  • Partner closely with onsite content strategy lead and SEO team members to identify content with strong potential to earn authoritative mentions and citations across third-party publications and partner sites.

  • Identify the right audiences, channels, partners, and formats for each initiative.

  • Repurpose existing content into social posts, videos, executive thought leadership, partner content, and other external formats.

Expand reach across external channels

  • Collaborate with social channel leaders and our internal creative agency to develop organic content for LinkedIn, YouTube, and other platforms.

  • Build strong partnerships with Liberty Mutual's Public Relations team and other communications and marketing partners to identify opportunities where content, research, and subject matter expertise can support enterprise priorities while advancing product visibility, brand authority, and organic discoverability.

  • Identify opportunities to elevate Liberty Mutual executives and subject matter experts through thought leadership, external publications, and social media.

Improve discoverability and performance

  • Apply an understanding of SEO, large language models (LLMs), and AI search experiences to identify the external sources that influence how Liberty Mutual is discovered, referenced, and cited across traditional search and AI-powered experiences.

  • Partner with Analytics partners to measure reach, engagement, referral traffic, links, external citations, citation share of voice, video performance, AI visibility, and related business outcomes.

  • Monitor competitor activity, emerging platforms, and changes in search, social, video, and AI discovery to identify new growth opportunities.

Preferred skills and experience

  • 5–7+ years of experience in content marketing, digital public relations, communications, or a related field.

  • Agency or comparable in-house experience leading content amplification, external distribution, or digital PR initiatives.

  • Experience with offsite content placement, earned media, authority-building, or link-earning programs.

  • Writing and editing skills across articles, social content, executive communications, and video scripts.

  • Experience developing integrated content strategies across social, video, editorial, and third-party channels.

  • Working knowledge of SEO, AI search, and how authoritative mentions and citations influence discoverability.

  • Familiarity with AI visibility or citation-tracking platforms is a plus.

  • Experience managing agencies, vendors, or production partners.

  • Strong project management, presentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

  • Experience working in a large, matrixed, or highly regulated organization is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with a concentration in Marketing, Business Administration or Communications preferred or equivalent experience required
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant and progressively more responsible experience within a marketing driven organization
  • Requires advanced knowledge of marketing communications principles and practices
  • Experience working with and/or managing outside agencies

  • Strong knowledge of relevant technologies
  • Strong organizational, coordination, project management, and analytical skills
  • Strong presentation skills required
  • Budget management and project management experience preferred
  • Ability to effectively interact with all levels of the organization
  • Proactively seeks to learn and apply new tactics and job skills to enhance current role and improve broader team's performance
