JOB DESCRIPTION

An Insight Global customer in the semiconductor manufacturing industry is seeking to hire a Supply Chain & Procurement Manager on a direct hire basis. This individual will be responsible for leading procurement operations, strategic sourcing initiatives, supplier management, and the continued development of the procurement function as the organization scales its manufacturing operations. The role will oversee purchasing activities across direct materials, indirect materials, capital equipment, chemicals, facilities services, PPE, and other critical categories required to support factory construction and operational readiness.

This person will be responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies, leading supplier negotiations, managing supplier performance, and ensuring continuity of supply across a complex global supplier network. The Supply Chain & Procurement Manager will partner closely with Engineering, Operations, Finance, Legal, and corporate procurement teams to support factory startup efforts, cost reduction initiatives, supplier qualification activities, and long-term procurement planning.

The ideal candidate will have experience managing high-volume procurement programs, evaluating and onboarding new suppliers, negotiating complex contracts, and building strong supplier relationships. Experience supporting semiconductor, electronics manufacturing, advanced manufacturing, or other highly technical production environments is highly preferred. The team is seeking a strategic procurement professional who can bring new ideas, help establish scalable processes, and support future growth as the procurement organization expands.

This position will be based in North Phoenix and Peoria, AZ . The role requires approximately 10-30% international travel, including an approximately three-month assignment in South Korea to learn and benchmark procurement strategy and operations. Candidates must be able to travel internationally without restrictions.

This is a full-time opportunity, and we can offer a salary between $135k - $145k plus bonus incentives. Exact compensation may vary based on education and experience.

Skills and Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. 7+ years of procurement, strategic sourcing, supply chain, or purchasing experience. Experience leading complex supplier negotiations and cost savings initiatives. Experience managing direct, indirect, and capital equipment procurement categories. Experience developing sourcing strategies and supplier management programs. Experience identifying, qualifying, onboarding, and managing suppliers. Experience utilizing ERP/MRP or procurement systems such as SAP, Oracle, Coupa, or comparable platforms. Knowledge of VMI, JIT, supply planning, inventory management, and global sourcing practices. Experience within semiconductor manufacturing, electronics manufacturing, advanced manufacturing, or other high-tech production environments. Korean language proficiency. Experience supporting factory startup, greenfield manufacturing, or site expansion projects. CPSM, CSCP, PMP, or other relevant procurement and supply chain certifications.
