Organization: ABSMC-Ashby Campus Position Overview:

Utilizes extended and expanded skills, experience and knowledge in assessment, planning, implementation, diagnosis and evaluation of the care required within an acute care specialty. Accountable for the coordination of nursing care, including direct patient care, patient/family education and transitions of care. In partnership with the care team, the RN delivers holistic and individualized care to patients in an assigned specialty area. Develops, implements, and coordinates a plan of care that incorporates psychological, sociocultural, spiritual, economic, and life-style factors. Fosters and maintains collaborative relationships between patients, their family/support group, physicians, and other healthcare providers through timely and effective communications. Job Description: Education:

  • BSN required

Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years recent Level III NICU experience required

  • Minimum 2 years recent neonatal transport experience preferred

Licensures and Certifications:

  • Registered Nurse - CA State Licensure - RN required

  • Neonatal Resuscitation Provider - NRP required

  • Neonatal IC Nursing - NNICN preferred

  • Basic Life Support Certification - BLS required

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Demonstrated leadership abilities

  • Strong communication skills required

  • Attendance/stabilization at high-risk deliveries

Job Shift: Nights Schedule: Full Time Shift Hours: 12 Days of the Week: Variable Weekend Requirements: Every other Weekend Benefits: Yes Unions: No Position Status: Non-Exempt Weekly Hours: 30 Employee Status: Regular Employees of Sutter Health and its entities may handle hazardous drugs in the course of their work, including patient care, which requires them to manage, store, prepare, receive, unpack, transport, dispose of, or administer drugs identified as hazardous or potentially hazardous by the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) and in accordance with the USP 800 guidelines.

Pay Range is $90.58 to $126.81 / hour The compensation range may vary based on the geographic location where the position is filled. Total compensation considers multiple factors, including, but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure, certifications, departmental equity, training, and organizational needs. Base pay is only one component of Sutter Health’s comprehensive total rewards program. Eligible positions also include a comprehensive benefits package.
