Full job description

Job Description

We are seeking a highly capable engineer with a background in Electrical, Controls, Manufacturing, Process Design, or Mechanical Design to support the Integrated Solutions business unit, focused on custom, engineer-to-order (ETO) production environments. This role bridges product design and manufacturing execution, driving optimized material flow, process design, visual management, and advanced manufacturing integration. The ideal candidate brings a strong engineering foundation with a systems-thinking approach to designing scalable, efficient, and repeatable production processes for highly customized products. This position plays a key role in enabling operational excellence through lean manufacturing, digital/visual factory design, and deployment of new manufacturing technologies. Key Responsibilities: Process & Flow Design

  • Design and optimize end-to-end manufacturing processes for custom ETO products, including layout, work sequencing, and material flow.

  • Develop scalable production models that balance flexibility and efficiency in low-to-medium volume, high-mix environments.

  • Drive line design, workstation definition, and assembly methodologies aligned with engineering intent. Material Flow & Visual Factory

  • Establish best-in-class material presentation, kitting strategies, and point-of-use delivery systems.

  • Implement visual management systems including production control boards, standard work, and factory-wide visual standards.

  • Partner with supply chain and operations to ensure alignment between material availability and production flow. Lean Manufacturing & Continuous Improvement

  • Lead lean initiatives (5S, standard work, value stream mapping, waste elimination) tailored to ETO complexity.

  • Identify and execute opportunities to improve throughput, reduce lead time, and increase productivity.

  • Utilize data-driven methods to sustain continuous improvement. Technology & Automation Integration

  • Evaluate, design, and deploy new manufacturing technologies including automation, digital tools, and smart factory systems.

  • Support integration of engineering design outputs (CAD, BOMs, routings) into manufacturing execution systems.

  • Drive innovation in tooling, fixtures, and assembly aids to improve quality and ergonomics. Cross-Functional Engineering Support

  • Collaborate with design engineering to ensure manufacturability (DFM/DFA) of custom solutions.

  • Serve as a technical interface between engineering, operations, and supply chain teams.

  • Support new product introductions (NPI) and configuration-driven production setups. Quality & Standardization

  • Define process controls and quality checks aligned with product and regulatory requirements.

  • Develop standardized work instructions and documentation for repeatable execution.

Salary: 95-120k

Skills and Requirements

  • 5+ years of Materials Management, Supply Chain, Procurement, or Manufacturing Planning experience
  • 5+ years managing and leading teams
  • Strong Oracle ERP / MRP planning experience
  • Experience supporting multi-site manufacturing operations
  • Knowledge of inventory control, purchasing, supplier management, and production planning
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, Engineering, or related field
  • APICS, ASCM, CPM, CPSM, or Lean certifications
  • Experience leading Lean and continuous improvement initiatives
