Full job description

Transport inmates to and from assigned work sites, conduct prescribed security checks on the vehicle and inmates, visually inspect inmates for contraband, and communicate effectively at all times.

Complete all required documentation, including the monthly trip log, SCDC form 14- 50, and SCDC form 20-12, ensuring each form is filled out entirely and returned to the control room at the end of the shift.

Ensure that the assigned vehicle is fueled, cleaned, and properly parked in its designated parking space after each shift.

Return all equipment and facility keys to the control room upon completing duty.

Participate in monthly reviews or meetings to evaluate procedures and recommend improvements to enhance future operations.

Perform additional related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Must successfully complete four (4) weeks of SCDC Basic Training upon hire.
