Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality patient care during transport
- Safely operate and maintain ambulances and medical equipment
- Assist with discharges and facility transfers professionally and respectfully
- Accurately document patient care
Qualifications
Education High School Diploma or Equivalent required or Trade/Technical/Vocational Diploma Emergency Medical Technician required
Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? No
Licenses and Credentials Basic Life Support [BLS Certification] - Data Conversion - Various Issuers required Emergency Medical Technician [EMT License] - Generic - HR Only required Emergency Medical Technician [NREMT-Basic] - National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) preferred Class D Passenger Vehicle Driver's License [State License] - Generic - HR Only preferred
Experience EMT Experience 0-1 year preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Demonstrated ability to implement clinical care in accordance with outlined policies and procedures.
- Must possess a valid driver's license in the state of practice.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment while working in a stressful environment.
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
- Ability to bend, pull, push, and lift up to 50 pounds.
