Location:Park Elementary School in Columbia, PA

PAY:$20.00–$22.00 per hour (based on education and experience)

SCHEDULE: Follows the school calendar

Morning Program: 7:00 AM - 8:30 AM

Afternoon Program: 3:05 PM-6:05 PM

Opportunities may be available for morning, afternoon, or both programs.

Healthy Kids Programs provides childcare for school-age children (ages 5–12) enrolled in our program on the days and during the hours you work. Employer contributions cover the cost of care, so you can focus on your job while your child participates in a safe, structured, and engaging program, all without needing to arrange outside care.

Key Responsibilities:

Regulatory & Licensing Leadership

  • Ensure full compliance with PA DHS/OCDEL school-age regulations

  • Maintain child and staff files, attendance records, and required documentation onsite

  • Keep the program organized and audit-ready

Program & Staff Leadership

  • Lead engaging activities (STEAM, fitness, academics, arts, homework support)

  • Actively supervise children and staff, including playground oversight

  • Maintain safe staff-to-child ratios and strong behavior management

Operations & Communication

  • Oversee daily attendance, registration, and scheduling

  • Serve as liaison between families, school administration, and the Healthy Kids main office

  • Communicate clearly and professionally using the Playground App

Requirements

Education and Experience:

Candidates may qualify with any of the following:

  • Bachelor's Degreein Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Special Education, or the human services fieldplus1 year of experience working with children under 13.

  • Bachelor's Degreeincluding 30 credit hoursin Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Special Education, or the human services fieldplus2 years of experience working with children under 13.

  • Associate's Degreein Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Special Education, or the human services fieldplus3 years of experience working with children under 13.

  • Associate's Degreeincluding 30 credit hoursin Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Special Education, or the human services fieldplus4 years of experience working with children under 13.

Qualifications:

  • Must pass a full background check, including fingerprinting and reference checks

  • Must be medically fit to perform job duties which includes a clear TB.

  • Strong leadership and communication skills

  • Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 lbs.
