AFO is looking for an Arrival/Departure Airfield Control Group (A/DACG) Transportation Coordinator to work in Fort Hood, TX. To join our team of outstanding professionals, apply today!
The Arrival/Departure Airfield Control Group (A/DACG) Transportation Coordinator manages and synchronizes transportation support for airfield arrival and departure operations. This role ensures the timely, accurate, and safe movement of personnel, cargo, vehicles, and equipment in support of aircraft missions. The coordinator serves as a key link between airfield operations, logistics teams, and ground transportation elements, ensuring all movement activities are executed in compliance with airfield standards and operational timelines.
Responsibilities

Oversee and coordinate inbound and outbound airfield transportation activities for personnel, cargo, and equipment.

Serve as the primary liaison between airfield operations, ground transportation, cargo handlers, mission planners, and external agencies.

Ensure all loading, unloading, and staging operations comply with safety regulations, airfield procedures, and cargo preparation standards (e.g., load plans, tie-downs, documentation).

Maintain communication with flight crews and airfield control personnel regarding schedules, changes, and transportation requirements.

Prepare, review, and validate transportation documentation, including passenger manifests, cargo lists, hazardous materials forms, and movement control paperwork.

Monitor real-time movement operations, identify potential delays or issues, and coordinate corrective actions with internal and external partners.

Assist with planning and executing deployment, redeployment, and rotational transportation missions.

Ensure adherence to security, safety, and compliance guidelines; enforce standards for personnel movement and cargo handling.

Maintain records, generate reports, and track key performance indicators related to airfield arrivals and departures.

Provide guidance and support to team personnel, contractors, and unit representatives involved in airfield transportation activities.
Qualifications
-
3 years of experience in transportation coordination, airfield operations, logistics, or movement control.
-
2 years of experience working in a mission-based or high-tempo environment (e.g., military airfield, commercial airport operations, transportation management).

Strong understanding of airfield procedures, cargo handling standards, and passenger movement requirements.

Ability to interpret transportation documentation and regulatory guidance.

Excellent communication, coordination, and situational decision‑making skills.
-
Proficiency with scheduling systems, tracking tools, and operational reporting.

Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to pass Pre-Employment Drug Test and Background Screening.

Ability to receive a favorable TIER-1 investigation result and obtain/maintain a CAC.
Desired Qualifications:

5 years of progressive logistics, transportation, or airfield operations experience.

Prior A/DACG, Movement Control Team, or similar airfield transportation experience.

Valid driver’s license.
-
Commercial Driver License with Passenger Endorsement.

High School Diploma / GED preferred.
Physical & Working Conditions:

Ability to work outdoors in varied weather conditions.
-
May require standing for extended periods, lifting equipment, and operating vehicles.

Work may occur in high‑noise or high‑activity airfield environments.
Salary:
- $73,000 / Annually
