Full job description

RGP has partnered with a major technology organization in identifying a Senior M&A Finance Consultant who can lead finance workstreams across the full M&A lifecycle — from diligence through close and post‑close integration.

The ideal professional is a strategic business partner with deep financial acumen, transaction advisory experience, and a track record of driving alignment across global Finance and cross‑functional teams.

This engagement sits at the intersection of finance diligence, deal execution, and integration program management , requiring strong judgment, problem‑solving skills, and stakeholder agility.

  • Lead finance activities across acquisitions, divestitures, and strategic initiatives — including diligence, deal planning, close readiness, and post‑close execution .

  • Conduct financial analysis and due diligence on targets: historical and forecast performance, working capital, cash flow, and transaction fundamentals.

  • Partner with FP&A, Accounting, Tax, Treasury, Procurement, and Legal teams to support decision‑making and ensure finance readiness.

  • Provide finance input on deal structures, purchase‑price adjustments, funds‑flow mechanics, escrows, and closing requirements.

  • Translate diligence findings into actionable recommendations and integration roadmaps for leadership.

  • Coordinate Day 1 finance operations across Record‑to‑Report, Order‑to‑Cash, Procure‑to‑Pay, Payroll, and Treasury functions.

  • Develop and execute integration governance, milestone tracking, and risk‑management processes for accelerated value realization.

  • Continuously identify opportunities to improve and standardize M&A finance processes, tools, and templates across transactions.

  • 9+ years across M&A finance, transaction advisory, strategic finance, or corporate FP&A.

  • Proven success supporting transactions through financial diligence, modeling, and post‑close integration .

  • Strong analytical and business‑judgment skills; able to synthesize complex data into clear recommendations.

  • Experience leading cross‑functional projects across multiple finance disciplines.

  • Deep understanding of core finance processes (R2R, O2C, P2P, FP&A, Treasury, Tax).

  • Highly effective communicator comfortable engaging senior leadership and multiple stakeholders in a matrixed environment.

  • Expertise in negotiation of deal‑related financial terms (working‑capital peg, cash requirements, purchase‑price mechanics).

  • Advanced proficiency with enterprise finance tools and reporting systems.

  • Continuous‑improvement orientation with experience enhancing finance governance and operating models.

  • CPA, MBA, or other advanced credential preferred.

  • Prior experience within technology, software, SaaS, or cloud‑services environments beneficial.
