Front End Engineer

Insight Global is seeking a Software Engineer II with strong user experience (UX) expertise to help design and develop an internal status page for our services. This role will focus on creating intuitive, user-friendly interfaces while building scalable and maintainable web applications that improve visibility into system health, reliability, and operational performance.

Skills and Requirements

• Design and develop an internal status page to communicate service health, incidents, outages, and operational metrics.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand user needs and translate requirements into intuitive user experiences.

• Build responsive, accessible, and visually engaging web interfaces.

• Develop and integrate front-end components with backend services and APIs.

• Create dashboards, visualizations, and status indicators that simplify complex technical information.

• Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, testing, and deployment activities.

• Troubleshoot issues and implement enhancements to improve application performance and usability.

• Contribute to engineering best practices, documentation, and development standards. - 4+ years of professional software engineering experience.

• Strong experience developing modern web applications.

• Proven UX/UI experience with a demonstrated ability to design intuitive user experiences.

• Proficiency with front-end technologies such as React, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.

• Experience consuming and integrating RESTful APIs.

• Strong understanding of responsive design, accessibility, and usability principles.

• Experience collaborating with product, design, and cross-functional stakeholders.

• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
