Full job description
Employment Type: Full timeShift: Day Shift Description: Organizes and directs all daily activities of the Clinical Laboratory Departments. ( in accordance with accepted CLIA 88, GDHR Laboratory College of American Pathologist and AABB regulations) Manages the activities of the Laboratory Department and complies with hospital policies and supports the mission and values of the hospital.Licensure/Certification/Registration: Medical Technologist, ASCP or AMT certification
Education: BS in Medical Technology or MT accreditation accepted by the State of Georgia. Master’s Degree is preferred.
Experience: Three years in a Laboratory supervisory capacity.
Special Qualifications: A working knowledge of principles and practices of department administration, including development, planning, organization, financial and personnel reporting practices and methods and techniques in Laboratory Medicine as required by the regulatory agencies. . Must be able to plan, organize and coordinate varied and complex operations, present ideas effectively, orally and in writing to a diverse audience. Must be able to deal constructively with conflict, collect, analyze and interpret data from a variety of sources and take appropriate action. Must be able to select, supervise, train and evaluate employees. Must have the ability to develop and manage a budget.
