THE WORK:
-
You’ll play a pivotal role in delivering complex, multi-jurisdictional bridge and roadway improvement projects.

You’ll support the Resident Engineer with field oversight, inspection, quality assurance, and contract administration throughout all phases of construction.

You’ll perform and oversee daily inspections and quality assurance activities for bridge and roadway construction.

You’ll verify contractor work for conformance with approved plans, specifications, and special provisions.
-
You’ll coordinate with contractors, utilities, public agencies, and Construction Management Consultants to resolve field issues and minimize delays.

You’ll review contractor submittals, RFI responses, progress schedules, and other project documentation.

You’ll oversee and document construction materials testing and sampling to ensure compliance with project requirements.

You’ll support contract administration, including change order preparation and negotiation, pay estimates, correspondence, and claims documentation.

You’ll track contractor progress and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.

You’ll perform or support calculations for grade, alignment, quantities, falsework, shoring, and structural components throughout construction, from foundation and falsework through bridge deck placement and roadway tie-ins.

You’ll collaborate closely with Construction Management Consultants, including staking, materials testing, and environmental monitoring teams.
Onsite at client site: This is a leadership role to help manage the construction management team as well as oversee the contractor's compliance with the Contract. The work location for this role is onsite with our clients and partners to enable delivery and cultivate our client relationships.
$150,000 - $180,000 a year
Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Accenture provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in Illinois, Maine, Minnesota, California, Colorado, District of Columbia, Maryland, Massachusetts, New York, New Jersey, Ohio, Virginia or Washington as set forth below.
HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
-
California Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) preferred, Engineer In Training (EIT) required.
-
Eight (8) years of roadway/highway construction inspection and field engineering experience on major public works projects
-
One (1) Caltrans-administered or federally funded highway project
-
Minimum three (3) years of experience in structural mechanics, stress analysis, or bridge construction inspection
BONUS POINTS IF YOU HAVE:
-
Demonstrated knowledge of concrete and steel bridge materials, falsework, and shoring systems
-
Strong written and verbal communication skills for coordination with contractors and public agencies
-
Proficiency in Caltrans construction documentation standards, E-builder/PMCS systems, and Microsoft Office
-
Experience as Assistant or Resident Engineer on bridge or river crossing projects
-
Experience working for a heavy civil contractor performing roadway or bridge work.

Ability to lead field inspection staff and make timely, technically sound field decisions
-
Familiarity with environmental compliance and stormwater management on Caltrans projects
-
Prior work with Riverside County, City of Riverside, or Caltrans District 8 is highly desirable

Experience on tolling, smart corridor, or ITS-equipped roadway projects
