Job Description
In this role, you will be managing the software development activities for EV Charging domain, as well as work with Charging hardware teams, vehicle software integration, defect management, and release management for Ford Motor Company’s Advance EV program.
What you’ll be able to do:

Program Leadership & Coordination Lead cross-functional teams in the planning, development, testing, and deployment of EV Charging firmware. Collaborate closely with engineering teams (hardware, software, systems) to ensure alignment on technical requirements, schedules, and deliverables. Collaborate closely with distributed development teams to plan and deliver quality firmware for EV Charging systems Work with Validation and Verification teams to ensure software quality with relevant metrics, for both safety relevant and non-safety relevant systems/functions. Manage program risks, identify dependencies, and develop mitigation strategies to ensure timely execution of milestones.

Technical Oversight Understand the technical details of HV Systems firmware architecture, including control algorithms, communication protocols (e.g., CAN, LIN, Ethernet), and hardware interfaces. Coordinate system integration efforts between Charging components and vehicle-level systems. Coordinate Systems Engineering activities for Charging systems across various domains and organizations. Work with systems, firmware and software teams to resolve technical challenges and ensure compliance with industry standards and safety requirements.

Stakeholder Management Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, including product management, suppliers, and vehicle integration teams for all Charging software-related items and issues. Facilitate communication between internal and external teams to ensure all parties are aligned on program objectives and progress. Collaborate with Charging Hardware teams to determine hardware availability schedule and pedigree

Program Tracking & Reporting Develop and maintain detailed program timelines, roadmaps, and resource plans. Track and report program status, KPIs, and deliverables to leadership and stakeholders. Drive continuous improvement by analyzing program performance and implementing lessons learned. Identify risks to program and work cross-functionally though organization to resolve conflicts Triage defects resulting from Software integration and lab car testing Triage defects from testing outside of Software organization such as various vehicle tests, driver mileage accumulation, etc. Work with different Software domain teams in scheduling defect fixes Work with Software domain teams to create Release checklist

Compliance & Validation Ensure Charging firmware meets all regulatory, quality, and safety standards (e.g., ISO 26262, ACC II CARB, etc.) Collaborate with validation teams to define test plans and criteria for successful integration of Charging firmware. Own Release Notes including limitations and workarounds
Skills and Requirements
5+ years of experience and B.S. or M.S in computer science, software engineering, electrical engineering or relevant work experience as a technical program manager in automotive software space. Strong technical knowledge in EV Charging and HV Systems Experience with automotive networking protocols such as CAN FD and automotive ethernet. Experience in Defect Management. Experience in Release Management. Experience with Agile Methodology, CI/CD. Excellent written and verbal communication skills .
