Job Description

One of Insight Global's clients is looking for a Secret Systems Engineer I. This engineer will support a mission-critical defense program at NORAD's Cheyenne Mountain Complex, helping ensure the successful engineering, integration, testing, and sustainment of systems that support national security and space operations. Day-to-day, this individual will work with software, infrastructure, cybersecurity, operations, and program teams to analyze requirements, develop technical documentation, support system integration efforts, and participate in testing and troubleshooting activities. They will help maintain requirements traceability, support engineering reviews, update system models and artifacts, and contribute to the overall systems engineering lifecycle from design through verification and sustainment. This role offers exposure to a wide variety of technical disciplines and provides an opportunity to support complex operational systems in a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment.

This is a 100% onsite position in Colorado Springs with a pay range of $60,000 - $75,000 based on experience. If interested please apply!

Skills and Requirements

  • Active Secret Clearance

  • Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field

  • 0-3 years of systems engineering or related engineering experience

  • Exposure to Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) concepts and methodologies

  • Experience supporting requirements analysis, requirements decomposition, or requirements management activities Experience creating, updating, or maintaining technical documentation, engineering artifacts, or system models

  • Experience with Cameo Systems Modeler

  • Exposure to SysML modeling

  • Experience applying MBSE frameworks in academic or professional environments

  • Experience supporting requirements traceability activities

  • Familiarity with Systems Engineering V-Model methodologies

  • Experience supporting system integration, verification, validation, or testing activities

  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies

  • Experience supporting Department of Defense programs or classified environments

  • Military experience

  • Missile warning, space operations, or related mission experience
