Summary

About the Position: This position is located at Fort Lee, Kenner Army Health Clinic supporting Department of War mission operations. The Incumbent will work in a fast-paced, collaborative, and mission-focused team environment. The incumbent can expect to quickly integrate into daily operations, take ownership of key unclassified and CUI-level deliverables, lead project initiatives that directly optimize workflows and enhance overall team readiness. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation

Duties

  • Serve as the Military Treatment Facility advisor and liaison on a full range of personnel actions
  • Provide human resources advisory on proposed position descriptions (PDs) and availability of standardized PDs
  • Initiate all recruit/fill Requests for Personnel Action (RPAs) to ensure positions are supportable.
  • Prepare a variety of reports and develops command overview of personnel actions for review and analysis purposes.
  • Resolve problems regarding pay and benefits issues in a timely manner so that employees can make informed decisions
  • Maintain liaison with higher headquarters on all military personnel management transactions, as required.

Qualifications

Who May Apply: US Citizens In order to qualify, you must meet the education or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Additional information about transcripts is in this document. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes performing technical support, general clerical and office automation functions such as assisting with routine personnel actions; conducting in-processing and out-processing employees; providing customer service by email or telephonically; and inputting and/or retrieving data using an automated system. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Human Resources Management. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.

This position requires a 1 year probationary period during which the agency evaluates your fitness and whether your continued employment advances the public interest. Selection is subject to restrictions resulting from Department of War referral system for displaced employees. Recruitment or relocation incentives MAY be authorized for highly qualified candidates. Salary includes applicable locality pay or Local Market Supplement.
