Looking for a rewarding short-term opportunity in special education? We're seeking a passionate Special Education Teacher to support elementary students in a resource classroom setting in Tolleson, Arizona .
Position Highlights
? Up to $45/hour
? Weekly pay
? Full-time schedule (40 hours/week)
? 8-week maternity leave coverage assignment
? Approximately 25-student caseload
? 3rd-5th grade students
? Resource classroom environment
? Low behavioral support needs
? Virtual or in-person interview available
What You'll Do

Provide specialized instruction to students receiving special education services

Develop and implement IEP goals and accommodations

Monitor student progress and maintain required documentation

Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families

Participate in IEP meetings and educational planning

Support students academically, socially, and emotionally

Qualifications

Active Arizona Special Education Teaching License

Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card

Bachelor's Degree preferred

Previous teaching experience preferred

Strong communication and collaboration skills

Must meet all state and local certification requirements

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university preferred

Valid state teaching certificate as required by state, contract/district regulations

Minimum of one year experience in teaching environment preferred

State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard Elementary Teaching preferred

State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard Secondary Teaching preferred
-
State Teacher Certification; Type: Standard Special Teaching preferred
-
Endorsement: Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) preferred

Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice
-
Current CPR if applicable
-
TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable

Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)

Must meet all federal, state and local requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age
