Senior Product Manager, Personal Peripherals Portfolio Description -
The Senior Product Manager will have unique mastery and recognized authority on relevant subject matter knowledge including technologies, theories and techniques. Contributes to the development of innovative principles and ideas. Successfully operates in HP's most complex disciplines. Provides highly innovative solutions. Leads large, cross-division functional teams or projects that affect the organization's long-term goals and objectives. May participate in cross-division, multi-function teams. Provides mentoring and guidance to lower level employees. Routinely exercises independent judgment in developing methods, techniques and criteria for achieving objectives. Develops strategy and sets functional policy and direction. Acts as a functional manager within area of expertise but does not manage other employees as a primary job function.
This role will be responsible for developing and driving the Peripherals Portfolio Strategy within the Personal Computing / Systems organization. Working across multiple product categories, to include new form factors / categories, this individual will be at the core of developing new portfolio strategies; aligning with key cross-functional teams (e.g. Design, Technology, Engineering, Finance, Marketing, Operations, and Sales); and championing the portfolio internally and externally. This US-based role will report directly to the Global Head of the Personal Peripherals portfolio, but will also partner closely with the Head of the Personal Peripherals Product Strategy & Planning product management teams.
While there will be some product management duties, this role will be more focused on portfolio management than traditional product management. With that being said, having a strong product management background is critical to the success of this position.
Responsibilities
- Develops and secures approval for high-level global PSS plans and budgets on a global scale, aligning them with organizational objectives.
- Leads cross-functional, cross-organizational teams and agencies in the development and execution of introduction plans.
- Develops and owns a comprehensive GTM scorecard/dashboard, including associated metrics, goals, and benchmarks.
- Leads the development of closed-loop post-analysis for marketing programs, and identifies and executes indicated actions.
- Develops and defines customer segmentation strategies at a global scale, tailoring PSS experiences to different customer segments.
- Oversees global marketing operations activities, as needed, like CRM update, accrual management, collateral fulfillment etc.
- Assists in the development of advanced sales training materials to empower the sales force.
- Partners with sales senior management in retailer/reseller account calls/development to strengthen relationships and drive sales.
- Provides mentorship and guidance to lower-level employees, thus, ensuring the realization of operational and strategic plans.
Education & Experience Recommended
- Four-year or Graduate Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
- Typically has 10+ years of work experience, preferably in product marketing, product design, or a related field.

Compensation and Benefits The pay range for this role is 137,250.00 - 202,450.00 USD annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to United States of America candidates only). Pay varies by work location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
