Full job description

We are seeking a senior low-level engineer to join our Sensor team.

We prioritize solid fundamentals, technical curiosity, and proficiency in AI-assisted development.

In this role, you will own major development projects and take the lead on architecting solutions across our core feature set.

You will work extensively with low-level OS subsystems - including file systems, memory, process management, and networking - designing features with cross-platform portability.

We expect you to drive projects with a focus on high-performance execution and efficiency, maintaining rigorous standards for code quality, design integrity, and comprehensive testing.

What You'll Do

  • Drive end-to-end feature ownership: Lead features in critical components of our sensor for macOS, Windows, and Linux from initial architectural design through deployment, actively presenting progress and technical outcomes.

  • Tackle large-scale stability and performance optimization: Utilize agentic coding tools to navigate unfamiliar OS APIs, validating system behavior against documentation, test suites, and actual hardware.

  • Collaborate to deliver high-impact security solutions: Partner across teams to build internal tooling, test infrastructure, and CI/CD pipelines that enhance codebase maintainability and developer velocity.

Tech You'll Work With

  • Systems Programming: Low-level development in Rust, targeting Windows, macOS, and Linux (memory, processes, files, and OS internals).

  • AI-Assisted Development: You will lean heavily on agentic coding tools as a core part of the development lifecycle, not as a bonus.

  • Full-Stack Systems: You will range across OS internals, AI tooling, CI/CD pipelines, and reverse engineering.

What You'll Bring

  • System Fundamentals & OS Internals: In-depth knowledge of OS internals (memory, processes, filesystems).

  • Strong Debugging & Troubleshooting Skills: Proven execution in deploying functional software with the discipline to verify low-level system behavior.

  • Agentic Fluency: Hands-on mastery of agentic coding workflows (context management, prompt steering, and code verification) integrated directly into systems programming.

  • Team Leadership & Collaboration: Communicate effectively, mentor peers, and drive team outcomes in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.

Bonus:

  • Deep OS Internals: Advanced understanding of core system architecture and sub-system mechanics.

  • Performance Engineering: Demonstrated ability to architect highly scalable, lightweight, and performant systems.

  • Security-Oriented Development: Experience or familiarity with Windows security concepts, macOS endpoint security framework.
