The Brand and Marketing Intern is responsible for strengthening Paylocity’s unique message and voice within existing online channels and review outlets through the voice of the customer. You will work alongside experienced marketing professionals and contribute to projects across customer marketing, content development, digital marketing, social media, public relations, communications, brand awareness, and campaign execution. This role offers exposure to multiple areas of marketing and the opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the organization.
Responsibilities:

Support marketing campaigns and initiatives across multiple channels, including email, social media, web, competitive intelligence, and customer communications.

Assist with the development, organization, and promotion of customer stories, testimonials, and other marketing content

Help monitor and maintain online review platforms such as G2, G2 Digital Markets, TrustRadius, Gartner Peer Insights, and others.

Assist with content creation, editing, and proofreading for blogs, emails, presentations, social media, and other marketing materials.

Find and vet existing clients for potential reference, promotion, and case study partnership using defined target parameters

Conduct research on industry trends, competitors, customers, and market opportunities to support marketing strategies.

Support the Social Media, Competitive Intelligence, and PR teams with new content and ideas based around customer advocacy quotes and storylines

Help organize and maintain marketing assets, customer success stories, and content repositories.

Collaborate with the SEO team to boost AI search results and citations using review site listings

Support cross-team collaboration with an emphasis on client voice and experience

Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute ideas for new campaigns, programs, and marketing initiatives.

Provide general project and administrative support to marketing team members as needed.
Requirements:
-
Education relevant to marketing, communications, public relations, journalist, business or multimedia preferred with an anticipated graduation date of December 2027 or Spring 2028

Experience with social media platforms, content creation, or marketing projects through coursework, internships, student organizations, or personal projects.

Ability to work independently while seeking guidance when needed.

Comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams and adapting to changing priorities

Experience working with internal and agency partners and managing contracted work
Preferred Skills:

Ability to communicate cross-functionally (both verbally and written) to share best practices across a diverse GTM organization

Strong organizational skills, with the ability to set and adhere to deadlines and move projects forward with guidance

An individual who thrives in ambiguity and project-based work that will change frequently, depending on the needs of the company
