Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Technical Recruiter for a top Defense Contracting client. This candidate will own the full recruitment lifecycle supporting cleared programs nationwide, partnering closely with program managers, senior leadership, and capture teams to identify and secure cleared and clearable talent. Responsibilities include sourcing, screening, interview coordination, offer development, onboarding support, labor category alignment, clearance verification, and maintaining compliance within ATS systems. The recruiter will also play a key role in proposal and capture efforts by building talent pipelines, securing contingent hires and letters of intent, and supporting transition hiring for new contract awards and recompetes. This individual will track recruiting metrics, advise leadership on labor market trends and staffing risks, represent the organization at hiring events and industry forums, and help drive workforce planning initiatives. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced federal contracting environment, can manage multiple priority requisitions across various geographies, and is passionate about connecting mission-critical programs with top-tier talent. This role offers high visibility across the organization and the opportunity to directly influence the growth and success of strategic defense programs. Candidates who excel are proactive, resourceful, and comfortable operating in a hands-on small business environment where collaboration and adaptability are key to success.

Skills and Requirements

  • 5-7 years of full-cycle recruiting experience
  • 3+ years recruiting within DoD, Federal, or National Security environments
  • Experience recruiting cleared candidates (Secret to TS/SCI)
  • Knowledge of clearance processing, reciprocity, and crossover procedures
  • Experience with government contract staffing, labor categories, and contingent hiring
  • Ability to manage multiple requisitions across programs and locations
  • Experience with ATS platforms, LinkedIn Recruiter, and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Proposal and capture recruiting experience
  • Small business government contractor experience
  • Familiarity with FAR, SCA, wage determinations, and federal contractor compliance
  • GovWin CRM experience
  • PHR, SHRM-CP, or related certification
  • Veteran and transitioning military recruiting experience
