Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a NERC Compliance Project Coordinator to support enterprise-wide NERC reliability and compliance programs for one of our largest clients in Norfolk, VA. This individual will coordinate compliance activities, maintain documentation and audit readiness, track regulatory requirements, support communications across registered entities, and assist with the execution of compliance initiatives. The Coordinator will work closely with compliance managers, subject matter experts, operations teams, and regulatory stakeholders to ensure timely completion of NERC-related activities and continuous compliance with reliability standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate day-to-day activities associated with NERC compliance programs and regulatory initiatives.
  • Maintain compliance documentation, evidence repositories, SharePoint sites, and audit support materials.
  • Track action items, compliance commitments, remediation plans, and project milestones.
  • Support internal reviews, self-audits, and external audit preparation efforts.
  • Assist with regulatory communications, standards reviews, and documentation requests.
  • Coordinate with SMEs and business units to gather information and ensure compliance deliverables are completed on time.
  • Support development of presentations, reports, metrics, and executive-level communications related to compliance programs.
  • Monitor changes to NERC standards and maintain updates to compliance procedures and documentation.
  • Facilitate meetings, track program risks, maintain schedules, and ensure timely follow-up on compliance initiatives.
  • Assist with implementation and enhancement of business tools, reporting systems, and compliance tracking processes.

Skills and Requirements

  • 2-5 years of project coordination, compliance, regulatory, utility, or operations experience.

  • Experience supporting programs involving documentation management, audits, regulatory requirements, or process improvement initiatives.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and project tracking tools. Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

  • Experience within the electric utility, energy, transmission, generation, or regulatory environment.

  • Familiarity with NERC Reliability Standards, compliance programs, or utility operations.

  • Experience supporting audit readiness, risk management, governance, or compliance initiatives.

  • Exposure to project management methodologies, process improvement, or regulatory reporting.
