Base Pay Adjustments Plus Incentives
Hospital Security Officer Prisma Health
*$55,575 - $56,618 *The salary amounts provided represent the minimum and maximum ranges based on years of current agency service plus incentive structures at SCDC. It is important to note that not all individuals may qualify for the highest tier of base pay adjustments and incentives.

Ensures safety, order, and control of inmates housed in the community hospitals and all other duties assigned by the Division of Security Management.

Inspects posts to ensure proper performance of duties.

Maintains current knowledge of the security status of inmates assigned to the hospital.

Ensures control of security keys/equipment at the community hospital.

Responds to complaints and concerns from hospital staff.

Prepares, submits, and reviews operational and administrative reports.
1 Position Available D2 Shift: 6:00 pm - 6:00 am

- U.S. Citizen.
- 18 and over.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid driver's license.
- Tattoos: Must not be offensive and/or gang related or visibly located on the face or head. Tattoos on the neck will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
- Must pass a medical assessment administered by SCDC.
- Must be certified by the SCDC Training Academy within six (6) months of entry into this position.
- One (1) year experience working in a medium/maximum correctional setting.
Prefer 18 months’ work experience in correctional, security, or police work, one (1) year of which is in a medium/maximum correctional setting.
