THE POSITION
The Custodial Worker 1 position with the Department of Transportation in Bradford County offers an opportunity to support safe and efficient operations. DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This position supports transportation maintenance operations by providing cleaning, upkeep, and care for Department facilities and grounds. As a Custodial Worker 1, you will perform the following duties:

General Cleaning:Perform non specialized cleaning of lavatories, offices, garages, and meeting spaces

Building Upkeep:Carry out tasks such as waste collection, dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, washing windows, and floor care

Grounds Maintenance:Operate small tools and equipment to mow grass, trim vegetation, and maintain planted areas

Seasonal Tasks:Clear snow and ice from walkways, remove leaves, and address minor storm damage

Basic Repairs:Replace light bulbs and complete simple repairs or report maintenance needs to supervisors

Documentation Duties:Complete required forms and maintain accurate records of purchases, invoices, and packing slips

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.

Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $36,010 (before taxes).
