JOB SUMMARY
This supervisor position is responsible for setting goals and achieving the goals of the department. Satisfying the customer with on-time deliveries and correct invoices.
Managing the transportation department. (Employee evaluations, accidents, safety)
RESPONSIBILITIES
-
Coordinate with merchandising and sales for deliveries and backhauls.

Organize with warehouse and production on orders.
-
Scheduling drivers and routing.
-
Training (safety, accident reporting, customer service).
-
Overseeing paperwork (logs, pre-trip/post-trip inspections).
-
Monitoring drive cam and coaching drivers.
-
Truck maintenance.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
- Minimum High School with some college preferred.
Experience
-
2-3 years’ experience in driving.
-
Supervisory experience a plus.
Professional Skills
-
Good communication (written and verbal) skills.
-
Commercial Vehicle Drivers must have the ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with the general public, to understand highway traffic signs and signals in the English language, to respond to official inquiries, and to make entries on reports and records.

Knowledge of DOT requirements.

Strong problem-solving skills.

Excellent people skills.
