Role Overview

We are looking for a sharp, detail-oriented Data Analyst Intern to join our team. You will be deep in the syntax of R to strengthen the district’s data infrastructure and transform messy raw data into actionable insights. Under the supervision of the Director of Data and Reporting, you will clean complex datasets, perform data analysis, and build processes to maintain data integrity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Wrangling: Clean, reshape, and merge disparate datasets using R.

  • Data Quality: Perform routine data hygiene tasks, profile source data for anomalies, and work with system administrators to ensure data integrity across primary systems

  • Data Analysis: Execute descriptive statistics to summarize trends and perform data audits

  • Visualization: Create clear, reproducible reports and interactive data visualizations using rmarkdown, plotly, and leaflet or similar packages.

  • Automation: Develop R scripts that streamline recurring data collection and cleaning processes.

  • PowerApps: Assist in developing and maintaining PowerApps solutions to support data collection and district workflows.

Qualifications Skills

  • Proficiency in R: You should be comfortable writing clean, documented code and using RStudio.

  • Data Literacy: Ability to handle missing data, outliers, and data normalization techniques.

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Data Science, Information Systems, Statistics, or a related field.

Position Type: Full-Time

Salary: $25.00 to $25.00 Per Hour
