Job Title: Pharmacy Packing ClerkJob Description

This role focuses on accurately packing cold and ambient medications using manual and semi-automated methods in a fast-paced pharmacy environment. The position requires a strong sense of urgency, consistent attendance, and close adherence to established processes to ensure medications are prepared and packed safely and efficiently for patients.

Responsibilities

  • Pack cold and ambient medications using manual and semi-automated methods in accordance with established procedures.

  • Handle pharmaceutical products with care to maintain quality, safety, and compliance standards.

  • Work with a strong sense of urgency to meet expected minimum packing quantities and daily production goals.

  • Follow detailed written and verbal instructions to ensure accurate medication selection, labeling, and packing.

  • Maintain attention to detail to minimize errors and ensure high-quality output.

  • Collaborate effectively in a team environment, supporting coworkers to meet shared targets.

  • Adhere to all process-driven workflows and standard operating procedures after thorough training.

  • Demonstrate excellent and reliable attendance to support consistent pharmacy operations.

  • Lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds unassisted as part of daily tasks.

  • Remain on your feet for most of the shift in a standing and walking role while performing packing duties.

Essential Skills

  • 2+ years of experience working in a pharmacy environment.

  • Experience with packing pharmaceutical products.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

  • Ability to follow instructions accurately and consistently.

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

  • Capability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.

  • Comfort with standing and walking for the majority of the shift.

  • Ability to work with a sense of urgency in a fast-moving environment.

  • Reliable and excellent attendance.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Willingness to work occasional overtime before or after the shift and on weekends as needed.

  • Flexibility to work most holidays in support of pharmacy operations.

  • Openness to process-driven work with thorough training provided.

Work Environment

This position is based onsite in a pharmacy operations setting with a fast-moving, process-driven workflow. Standard hours are Monday through Friday, approximately 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with some information indicating onsite operations from 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Occasional overtime may be required before or after the regular shift and on weekends, and most holidays are worked to support continuous patient care. The role is physically active, involving standing and walking throughout the shift and lifting up to 50 pounds unassisted. Training is thorough, and you will work closely with a team using established procedures and semi-automated equipment to ensure medications are packed accurately and efficiently. Interviews are conducted in person onsite and typically consist of a single round.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $21.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
