Support Engineer

Skills Required:

• 3+ years of IT experience with a minimum of 2 years in a procurement position. Prior experience in a game development studio is welcome but not required.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Experience with Azure Active Directory and Azure DevOps.

• Scripting language experience ( Python, C#, or PowerShell ) is a plus.

• Experience in supporting multiple OSes is a bonus.

Description

Job Responsibilities:

• Work closely with Studio Management, various Directors and Leads to understand and act upon the studio’s IT related needs

• Perform PC Hardware procurement, setup, and recycling

• Field requests for information technology services, repairs, upgrades, support, inquires or complaints

• Manage PC and parts inventory for the studio

• Handle user account management

• Provide IT support internally and externally to partner teams involved in game creation

• Work with the larger IT teams to engage on best practices and working through technical concerns

• Disqualifiers: Candidates who would use the role as a jumping off point will not be eligible for the role. Reason being it takes a lot of effort to ramp up and train so they would like to avoid candidates who are using this role as a stop while they are searching for the next role.

• Best vs. Average: The ideal resume would contain experience having worked with a gaming team before and the ability to write different scripting using Python ( Python is a requirement but the more the familiar they are the easier the role will be). The ideal candidate will be someone who has an well written resume. Candidates with a disorganized resume that does not flow and is difficult to read will be rejected by sponsor

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $38.00/hr.
