Requirements / Qualifications
Posting will close once 20 applications are received. Basic Functions: Organizes and instructs students in reading and/or language arts and other assigned areas of the curriculum, utilizing the course of study adopted by the Board of Trustees. Promotes close working relationships with staff, students and parents. Teacher is under the direct supervision of the site principal or designee. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Education Required: • Bachelor’s Degree • EL Authorization or equivalent • Basic Skills Exam-CBEST or equivalent • Valid Multiple Subject Teaching Credential and one of the following: ~At least 24 units in early childhood education, childhood development, or both. ~Two (2) years of professional experience in a classroom setting with preschool-age children prior to 2015 - Verified by a letter from previous employer ~Child Development Teacher or higher Permit issued by the Commission on Teacher Credentialing Experience: • One year of successful teaching experience in an education setting is preferred. • 5 years previous public school teaching experience accepted per Ocean View Teachers Association (OVTA) contract
