Software Engineer

Job Description

Primary responsibility is for the support of the city’s business applications which include maintenance activities of these applications such as upgrade initiatives; development of apps, reports and interfaces; user support and application testing activities.

Skills and Requirements

College degree preferably in the fields of Computer Science or Computer Engineering. Must have at least two years work experience as an applications developer using C#, .NET, Java or any object-oriented programming language. Must have at least one year hands-on coding experience in SQL Must have good problem solving, troubleshooting/issue resolution, organization/planning skills. Working knowledgeable with any relational database such as MS SQL Server, Oracle, etc. Must have the ability to multi-task and provide off-hours support for production-related business applications issues/incidents and/or technical environment support.
