We are seeking an experienced Interior Designer to provide a blend of project management, space planning, and design for commercial projects. The role involves assisting with the creation of renderings and construction document sets, understanding local codes, finish selections, BOMA calculations, permitting, and construction administration tasks. You will also interface with customers and provide design leadership.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects from inception to completion, ensuring quality and adherence to project timelines.

• Perform space planning and design for commercial projects, including mission-critical, healthcare, and government integrator projects.

• Create detailed renderings and construction document sets using Revit and AutoCAD.

• Ensure compliance with local codes and regulations, including BOMA calculations and permitting.

• Provide construction administration support and collaborate with construction teams.

• Engage with clients to understand their needs and provide design leadership.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD for design and construction documentation.

• Strong skills in space planning and rendering.

• Experience with construction administration and document creation.

• Understanding of local building codes and permitting processes.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Minimum 4-year college degree in Interior Design or Architecture.

• LEED Certification is a plus.

• Experience in commercial and/or corporate interiors is required; exposure to mission-critical or healthcare projects is advantageous.

Work Environment

Our office is located in downtown Baltimore, offering a beautiful water view in Fells Point. We support a hybrid work model, with most employees working remotely and coming into the office occasionally for meetings or to access our library. You will need to be in the office for one full day or two half days per week, depending on project requirements.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Baltimore, MD.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $31.25 - $45.67/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
