Pay Rate: $16.56Full- time Days

GENERAL SCOPE: Extends work of the Certified Nursing Assistant by carrying out basic tasks that do not require direct resident contact or experience with care giving. These tasks are those that can be taught in a classroom setting and carried out on the nursing unit under the direction of a licensed nurse.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Makes unoccupied beds/change sheets based on schedule.

  • Passes fresh water.

  • Transports residents in wheelchairs.

  • Supervises the dining activity center

  • Conducts activities

  • Passes trays at meal times.

  • Picks up meal trays after meals are completed.

  • Cleans up dirty meal trays once they are picked up.

  • Washes resident’s hands and face after meals.

  • Wipes up spilled food on tables and wheelchairs after lunch.

  • Expedites trays and meals

  • Answers resident lights and relays messages to the appropriate staff.

  • Performs all assigned tasks in a safe, sanitary and efficient manner in accordance with established procedures.

  • Assists with cleaning over-bed tables.

  • Keeps rooms neat and clean, assists with cleaning closets, drawers, medicine cabinets etc. as needed.

  • Answers the phones and takes messages.

  • Washes, dries, and fold resident laundry.

  • Takes resident vital signs as directed.

  • Engages in activities with residents.

  • Takes resident vital signs as directed.

  • all other job duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE: Work or life experience with the elderly or disabled helpful.
