Job Description
The Senior Payroll Administrator will manage payroll processing for approximately 140 employees across multiple client accounts, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely execution through ADP. This role supports primarily union, processing payroll, audits, deductions, taxes, benefits, and timekeeping administration. The position will also handle HR-related activities such as onboarding, employment verifications, workers' compensation, disability claims, and FMLA documentation. In addition, the individual will support Accounts Payable functions including invoice processing, vendor management, and contractor onboarding. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, client-focused, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Skills and Requirements
5-10 years of payroll administration experience supporting 100+ employees. Hands-on experience processing payroll through ADP, including payroll funding, validation, approvals, taxes, and employee setup. Experience supporting both union employees, tracking and managing union dues, benefits administration, and contract-specific pay rules. Knowledge of HR administration processes including FMLA, workers' compensation, disability claims, employment verifications, and onboarding. Experience supporting Accounts Payable and invoice processing using Nexus, Avid, Yardi, MRI, or similar platforms. Experience vetting vendors and third-party contractors through workflow or CRM-based systems. Experience communicating directly with clients via email, phone, and in person meetings Experience running payroll audits, reports, and payroll ledgers within ADP. Experience using ADP as both a payroll and timekeeping platform. Experience using Workday for payroll and timekeeping processes. Experience supporting multiple clients at once
