Full job description

Shape the future of transportation infrastructure across New Jersey and the Northeast. As a Highway Project Manager, you will lead impactful roadway and highway improvement projects that enhance mobility, safety, and connectivity for communities. This role offers the opportunity to oversee complex transportation projects from concept development through final design and construction while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and building strong client relationships. As a key member of our transportation team, you will manage highway and roadway projects through all phases of development, ensuring successful delivery within scope, schedule, and budget. You will lead multidisciplinary design teams, coordinate with clients and stakeholders, support business development efforts, and provide technical and strategic guidance on transportation initiatives. Success in this role requires strong leadership, collaboration, and a commitment to delivering high-quality infrastructure solutions for public sector clients.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license

  • Experience delivering projects for the New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT), New Jersey Turnpike Authority (NJTA), county agencies, or municipal transportation clients

  • Experience managing and delivering highway and roadway infrastructure projects including compiling Reports, development of specifications, QA/QC reviews of plans, and development of cost estimates.

  • Experience working with multidisciplinary engineering and design teams

  • Knowledge of transportation design standards, project delivery processes, and client coordination

  • Experience in compiling technical writeups and graphics ideas for proposal pursuits to clients throughout NJ.

  • Proficiency with standard office and engineering software tools

Ideally, you’ll also have:

  • Master’s degree in Civil Engineering

  • PMP Certification

  • Experience supporting transportation-focused business development and client relationship management

  • Experience with CADD software and the ability to view and modify CADD drawings
