Full job description
Position: General Maintenance Technician
Description: General Maintenance Technician- Electrical experience preferred. Classified Position, 240 Days, pay grade (M7-Craftsman I), with hourly rate depending upon relevant work experience. See Maintenance Salary Schedule at https://www.cartersvilleschools.org/departments/financial-services/salary-schedule? Licensure/certification will be taken into consideration regarding pay grade.
Reports to: Maintenance Supervisor
Job Summary: To perform general maintenance jobs under the direction and supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor
- Assists other technicians and sub-contractors as needed.
- Assists in estimating labor and material costs associated with repairs or replacement projects
- Completes and maintains all required paperwork; maintains and submits accurate and complete records of all work orders.
- Maintains all tools related to the position.
- Accepts full responsibility for maintaining and operating a system vehicle, if provided.
- Is accessible and considered to be on-call 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.
- Adheres to all School Board policies and procedures and demonstrates professional and ethical practices in carrying out the duties and responsibilities of the job.
- Complies with any reasonable oral or written request of the Maintenance Supervisor, his/her designee, or other appropriate district administrator.
- Demonstrates excellent attendance and punctuality.
Qualifications: High school diploma or GED with relevant training and/or experience; Holds a valid Georgia motor vehicle operator's license; Good oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
