Senior SOC Analyst

Join Focus Group's growing Cyber Security team as a Senior SOC Analyst, combining hands-on technical expertise with SOC leadership. You'll lead daily SOC operations, investigate complex security incidents, mentor junior analysts, and drive threat hunting and detection improvements across a diverse customer base.

Key Responsibilities What you'll be doing

• Leading day-to-day SOC operations, including triage, escalations, and customer communications
• Mentoring and developing Tier 1 & 2 Analysts through coaching and technical guidance
• Acting as the senior escalation point for complex security incidents and investigations
• Ensuring service quality, ticket standards, and SLA adherence across managed security services
• Supporting customer onboarding and security platform integrations
• Conducting advanced threat investigations, threat hunting, and detection tuning activities
• Analysing endpoint, network, and log data to identify and respond to threats
• Collaborating with the Cyber Security Technical Lead to enhance SOC services, tooling, and processes
• Developing playbooks, runbooks, and best practices to improve incident response and operational maturity

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

What you'll bring:

• 4+ years' SOC, MSSP, or MDR experience
• Strong SIEM experience (Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk, Elastic, LogPoint)
• Expertise with EDR platforms such as Microsoft Defender or SentinelOne
• Solid understanding of MITRE ATT&CK, incident response, and threat investigation
• Experience mentoring analysts and leading escalations

Desirable: SC-200, GCIH, GCIA, Security+, KQL, PowerShell, or Python.
