Certification Clerk - 1st Shift

Description

  • Perform a variety of clerical duties to support Lab Certification Processor and other lab administrator duties.

  • Cross train and serve as backup for all duties of Certification Processor.

  • Perform computer coding and data entry to maintain databases.

  • Set up testing requirements on job cards per customer requirements, print and proof documents in accordance with internal quality systems.

  • Monitor, check and release in process items. Expedite resolution of testing, tracking and other problems as needed.

  • Perform a variety of clerical duties in support of QA Department functions.

  • Perform liaison duties to obtain requested information for department and to deliver information and materials to other departments and occasionally outside parties. Sort and distribute department mail

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Exceptional attention to detail.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Experience reviewing quality control or other documentation for accuracy and completeness strongly preferred. Ability to read and identify critical reporting requirements of industrial and customer technical specifications

  • Ability to positively interact with customers and with all levels of the organization to resolve issues where tact is required.

  • Must be well organized, accurate and able to work independently

  • QA background and familiarity with metallurgical terms strongly preferred.
