Respiratory Therapist Program Coordinator

Job Summary and Qualifications

The Respiratory Program Coordinator collaborates with the Director of Respiratory Therapy and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to promote excellence in patient care and support the delivery of safe, high-quality respiratory services. This role is responsible for ensuring clinical practice standards, professional competencies, and regulatory requirements are established, maintained, and aligned with organizational goals to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

The coordinator leads respiratory therapy education and professional development initiatives by assessing training needs, developing educational resources, conducting staff and student orientation programs, and facilitating ongoing clinical training. Responsibilities include evaluating training effectiveness, maintaining competency and performance records, supporting staff growth and development, and fostering a culture of professionalism, accountability, and continuous learning within the respiratory care department

Qualifications :

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

  • Neonate Resuscitate must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date

  • PALS Pediatric Adv Life Supt must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date

  • (NBRC-RRT) Registered Respiratory Therapist

  • (RRT/RCP-State) Respiratory Therapist/Practitioner

  • Bachelor's Degree Required

  • Three or more years as a Respiratory Educator or extended history of initiative in education programs/projects.

  • Minimum five years' experience in Respiratory - one to two years supervisory experience preferred.

  • NICU experience is preferred.
