Full job description

Description We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to support key initiatives within a Financial Services environment. This long-term contract opportunity is ideal for someone who can lead complex projects from initiation through completion while maintaining strong coordination across stakeholders, timelines, and deliverables. The role requires expertise in third-party risk and the ability to organize resources, monitor progress, and drive high-quality outcomes in a structured project setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead project execution from kickoff through completion, ensuring milestones, deliverables, and deadlines are achieved.

  • Partner with internal teams and stakeholders to establish project scope, priorities, success measures, and overall direction.

  • Build and maintain detailed project plans that outline task sequencing, resource needs, timelines, and dependencies.

  • Allocate and track project resources, including budget, personnel, and tools, to support efficient delivery.

  • Review schedules with leadership and impacted teams, making updates when business needs or project conditions change.

  • Oversee project team activities, including participation in staffing, candidate evaluation, and day-to-day coordination of assigned personnel.

  • Create and maintain project documentation, records, and secure filing structures to support auditability and transparency.

  • Monitor project performance, assess quality standards regularly, and implement corrective actions when progress or output requires adjustment.

  • Maintain a consistent communication cadence with stakeholders by providing status updates, risk awareness, and recommendations throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Conduct project closeout evaluations and present findings or improvement opportunities to support future initiatives. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree required.

  • Demonstrated experience managing project timelines, deliverables, and cross-functional coordination.

  • Strong knowledge of project planning and tracking tools, including Microsoft Project, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at multiple levels of the organization.

  • Experience overseeing project quality, documentation, and progress reporting in a structured environment.

  • Ability to adjust plans proactively in response to shifting priorities, risks, or implementation challenges.

  • Background in third-party risk or related oversight within a regulated business environment is highly valued.
