Schedule: Full time Shift: Day (United States of America) Address: 1613 N Mills Ave City: Orlando State: Florida Postal Code: 32803 Job Description:
AHMG Cardiology Virtual Care Center at Orlando 600 Courtland St., Orlando, FL Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm position will travel to other Cardiology locations as needed
- Keeps accurate monitor logs, tracking monitor type, charges, ordering physician, and report status.
- Accepts urgent calls from monitoring companies, triages patients, and provides physicians with current vitals and medication lists.
- Documents in EMR and notifies physicians per notification protocol.
- Organizes and sorts reports at the end of the monitoring enrollment period, logging charts for physician dictation.
- Greets and prepares patients for device interrogation or monitor placement. Schedules appointments and responds to patient needs timely and appropriately.
- Instructs patients and their families on procedures, follow-up, and use of home monitoring equipment.
- Participates in continuing education, required meetings, and committees as requested.
- Uses all types of home monitoring equipment, ensuring they are sanitized and in working order.
- Provides patient instruction and hookup for various monitors.
- Navigates monitoring company websites to view and print reports as needed.
- Sorts and files papers received by fax or electronically.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge of the equipment, standard tests and procedures, and typical readings including arrhythmias and abnormalities. [Required]
- Knowledge of typical patient reactions and signs of distress including the ability to recognize, report and treat potentially lethal arrhythmias. [Required]
- Knowledge of anatomy and physiology of the heart and cardiac medications. [Required]
- Ability to independently perform tests. [Required]
- Demonstrates ability to communicate by reading, writing legibly, speaking and comprehending English effectively to carry out job requirements. [Required]
Education:
- High School Grad or Equiv [Required]
Work Experience:
- 1+ cardiac experience [Required]
Additional Information:
- Holter Scanning on-the-job training or completion of an approved program
Licenses and Certifications:
- Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]
- Basic EKG Certification (BEKG) [Preferred]

Pay Range:
$17.28 - $27.65 Background Screening Requirement (Florida Law)
Certain positions are subject to Florida Level 2 background screening, including fingerprinting, as required by state law.
